Spain's European Championship preparations were plunged into chaos after Sergio Busquets tested positive for Covid-19 on Sunday morning. forced the entire team to isolate and withdraw from their last warm-up match against Lithuania on Tuesday night.
Although all other members of Spain's 24-man squad tested negative, Covid protocols have been implemented these days. In line with UEFA and Spanish ministry of health guidelines, this means that all players and staff must isolate at Spain's Las Rozas Headquarters with individual sessions that replace normal training. Busquets was lifted by medical transport from Las Rozas.
