“Neil Carter 'PASSES EVERYTHING!!!' says. For the United win,” begins Jake Shaffer. That didn't go too well under Moyes. Horn sound! ”

just a little too much minutes to kick-off, a Neil Carter personifies calm

Neil writes, “Rob the Evening.” Offensive line from Ole. I've been asking this all season. I'm going to look stupid now, right? PASS EVERYTHING!!! Cmon you Reds!!! ”

“I can identify with Villarreal fans tonight” Says Richard Hirst. “Eleven years ago, I was walking into the Hamburg stadium with tears in my eyes to watch Fulham (not win anything) in the Europa League final against Atletico Madrid, Aguero, Forlan, De Gea (same), Reyes etc to the last minute of extra time; I hope Villarreal can be better. ”

What, lose on penalties?

“Hi Rob,” says Peter Oh. “If the Villareal teenager scores a paratrooper to put United in a tight spot, you could say Yeremi was speaking in class today.”

You really can. And what better way to create a mood than a song about a teenager who killed himself!

Pre-match thoughts of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

“I feel good, I look forward to it. This is the worst time: all the work is done and we are just waiting for the boys to come out and express themselves. David [de Gea] did very well in the quarters and semi-finals and I expect him to be ready for that. Unfortunately Fred was injured in the last week leading up to the game - he trained last night and it's okay to be on the bench. He's disappointed that he didn't start, but that's the hard part of being a manager.

“We just have to trust ourselves. This is a reward for all the hard work they've done over the past two years. We are approaching a final. I want them to play with confidence, play boldly, and be the best version of themselves. ”

Looking forward to n The English team will be sponsored by Heathrow Third Runway next season.

Gerard Moreno is the biggest threat to i Manchester United. For Spain it will almost certainly start from the Euro 2021 and only Lionel Messi has scored more goals in the La league this season. Chatting on BT Sport, Santi Cazorla says he's "one of the best players in the world."

Villarreal team news

Yeremy Pino, the exciting 18-year-old goal scorer for Real Madrid on Saturday, starts for Villarreal. But there is no Samuel Chukwueze, not even on the bench.

United played in seven European finals, which is such a huge club. Five (1968, 1991, 1999, 2008, 2017) and two to Pep Guardiola's Barcelona (2009, 2009). Anyway, enough of this nonsense – the teams are here!

Of all the things to love about Villarreal, The kits are right there. This season hasn't been as good as the Aeroport Castello classic, but I'm still proud to go my own way on a five-on-five course. And if he wins tonight, he'll have a permanent stamp.

Among United's possible starting players, the only players with European final experience (In my opinion) David de Gea, Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford. Considering that United won this trophy four years ago, this is quite surprising. A lot has changed since then. Some of the possible members also played in the European finals, including Juan Mata, Donny van de Beek and Nemanja Matic.

Here's Paul Doyle's Fiver contains the best and probably just the Gdansk joke I've read.

"Funny," Niall Mullen writes, but he doesn't appears to laugh . “Until recently, I didn't have real feelings for Villarreal, but just this morning I felt an overwhelming desire to support them. Go shape. ”

Cliffs Notes: Villarr eal

This is a really great piece from Sid. this game means for Villarreal. If they win, only the most one-eyed United fan will hold a grudge against them.

Europa League last day. Villarreal is covered for you…

– Here's the story how a club that wasn't in the first episode, in just one town with ,000 barley and 2,500 fans became a European regular. https://t.co/oAxwJNTxlr

Build up slowly to get started , including team news at approximately 6 o'clock. 45 pm BST. With no Harry Maguire at United, Villarreal's exciting Samuel Chukwueze should at least be fit for a spot on the bench. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has a few decisions to make as discussed here.

Tim de Lisle (@TimdeLisle)

There are at least three dilemmas as #Solskjaer picks the #MUFC team for tonight. #RobSmyth and I discuss these in this chat for @united_writing. Warning: May contain jokes about defensive midfieldershttps://t.co/hLCCXkTG4r

In the previous section . . .

2005 – 06

Villarreal 0-0 Man Utd

Man Utd 0-0 Villarreal

2008 – 09

Man Utd 0-0 Villarreal

Villarreal 0-0 Man Utd

The most notable event in these four plays—on reflection, probably the only event of any note—was the sending of Wayne Rooney for teasing. It really did happen, as demonstrated in the migraine inducer at the beginning of this article.

Preface

Hello and welcome to the live broadcast of the Europa League final between Villarreal and Manchester United in Gdansk. Styles fight – but so do backstory and when this match starts the score is 0 for Villarreal – Manchester United. This is the number of major trophies both sides have won. Villarreal has not been to a grand final at home or in Europe before, and even the newspaper formerly known as The Manchester Guardian appreciates how great it would be if it won tonight.

It's tempting to think of this game as historically at least David v Goliath. If that's the case, it comes with a twist. Villarreal is led by Unai Emery, who has won this competition with a record three times, while Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has never approached a European final before. There are unconfirmed reports that if Villarreal win tonight, Emery will retain the trophy and pay tribute to Uefa by changing the shape of his face.

A Europa League victory is in the eyes of the audience. For Villarreal this match is first and foremost a chance for instant immortality. United want this to be the start of something – a gateway to the shimmering highlands, like the FA Cup victories, and 1990 and 2005. (1968 and 2016 weren't the gateway to the shimmering highlands. For Tommy Docherty and Louis van Gaal, they were the gateway to the Business Center.)

In March, Solskjaer spoke negatively, if not illogically, about what the awards might be like. An "ego trip" for managers who can hide their lack of progress. For players, positive ego trip is much more important; a scent of splendor and newly polished silver can empower and encourage an emerging team to reach the most dazed stratosphere.

The problem is that every splendor has two sides. Tonight, as with all finals except the occasional reality TV scumbag, someone has to lose. Eek.

Start 21:00 Gdansk and Villarreal, 20:00 Manchester.
